Whether they will also be renewed is unclear, says Widow.
Also a renovation of Cafes in the Wasserbecken is not part of the recovery plans. The 50-year-old bungalow is clearly showing its age. Along with the small Café Viva, the café is the only park gastro that is always open.

With 4500 square meters, the central square is one of the largest areas in Westfalenpark. This should all happen by the time of the International Garden Exhibition 2027 (IGA):
- Accessibility: barrier-free access with paths and ramps instead of many steps
- Seating areas: new seating and lounge areas

- new pools: The old concrete basins are replaced by round water basins. A special warm water pool with tropical plants is supposed to show an “elaborate aquatic plant show”.
