The punk band Die Skeptics, one of the most important bands in the GDR underground scene, was founded in East Berlin in 1986. Even after all these years, the band offers fearless punk rock, although the only member of the founding team is singer and lyricist Eugen Balanskat. Together with the metal-punk band Die Dorks from Marktl am Inn, with front woman, singer and electric guitarist Liza Dork, the concert this Friday evening in Lindenpark will be a small retro East-West reunion. But always facing the future: The 2021 album by the Dorks was called “The Machine of Tomorrow”. Which will be thrown on Friday at 8 p.m. in Lindenpark, admission costs 16 and 20 euros.

Kurt Tucholsky said in 1920 about his cheeky and romantic “Rheinsberg, a picture book for lovers”: “No – such things have no continuation…” 80 years later, the graphic designer of a Tucholsky museum found private notes on a page that had been detached from this very book from Kurt to his great love. Together with the museum director, she tries to find out what this could mean. The live radio play “The Secret of Claire and Wölfchen” will be performed on Saturday from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. as a public rehearsal for the premiere in the gallery café Matschke. “This is another work created from the depths of my soul.” Clara Schumann wrote this sentence about her husband Robert Schumann’s Fourth Symphony. Holly Hyun Choe, according to the Nikolaisaal one of the great hopes on the conductor’s podium, and the cellist Marie-Elisabeth Hecker will make their debut at the Potsdam Chamber Academy with this work on Sunday evening.
