DENVER, Colorado – A woman lost her life in Westminster after she was the victim of a shooting early Friday morning.
Police arrived in the 8500 block of 88th Place about 12:30 am and found an injured woman. She was taken to the hospital, but unfortunately she later died.
In a statement, Westminster Police said preliminary information suggests the incident may have been a drive-by shooting, and that several adults and children were in the home when the shooting occurred.
Westminster Police said that as the investigation continues, a heavy police presence is expected in the area.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
