The fire brigade pulled a car out of Lake Baldeney on Tuesday. It is the first of four cars that are now being recovered.

The Essen fire brigade pulled a Smart out of Lake Baldeney on Tuesday morning. Whether it is a crime or a case of illegal car disposal is open.

Divers had recently discovered a total of four vehicles on the bottom of Lake Baldeney. They will be gradually pulled out of the water over the next few days starting Tuesday.

The Smart was six meters deep. When the car surfaced, it was seen that the registration plate was still screwed on. It is an Essen license plate. The steering wheel was broken off. So far there have not been any other abnormalities on the vehicle. The fire brigade recovered the car on the southern shore of Lake Baldeney.
