For the February quotas, the values are already defined: the increase according to the health cost index will be 8.21%. While for the March quota, the income that will act as a threshold to be able to request the reduction of the increase percentage will be $392,562, since the minimum wage rose this month to $65,427.
It should be noted that price variations must be informed to affiliates at least one month in advance. Therefore, in order to make the readjustments in February, notifications must arrive on these days. According to the instructions of the Government, the affiliates who meet the requirement for the ceiling to be applied to the percentage of the increase, must complete the affidavit about their situation between the 1st and 20th of each month.
In the affidavit, the denomination of the prepaid must be completed and the “Yes” box must be marked to the declaration that an income of up to six times the minimum wage is received. The affiliate will also be asked to enable the SSS to validate the information with other State agencies.
