Stefanie Hertel welcomed “Musi” fans back to the Winter Open Air and was able to pocket showmaster Florian Silbereisen with impressive ORF ratings.

Bad Kleinkirchheim – After a forced two-year break, the time had finally come again: “When the music plays 2023” (MDR) provided a number of top-class hit stars at the annual winter open-air in Bad Kleinkirchheim (Carinthia) in the freezing cold, such as “Die Daredevil”, Nik P. and Ross Antony, for hot mood. Due to the pandemic, the twice-yearly music show could not take place as usual – fans were all the more excited about the “Musi” comeback – and the ratings showed that.

On January 21, as usual, Stefanie Hertel (43) welcomed the fans of German hits and folk music to “When the Musi plays”. But not everything was as usual, because this time Arnulf Prasch (57) was not at her side, but the new one in the league: Marco Ventre (47).

After 27 years of “Musi”, Arnulf Prasch (57) has given up the reins and turned his back on the music format with a heavy heart. However, that did not prevent the fans from tuning in – according to ORF media research, 522,000 people watched the music spectacle in front of the television in a warm home. The format is said to have achieved a market share of 21 percent – a successful start.

Florian Silbereisen had to prevail against Dieter Bohlen’s DSDS comeback

Unfortunately, our showmaster Florian Silbereisen (41) can only dream of that at the moment. The 41-year-old presented the big farewell show for the king of Mallorca Jürgen Drews (77) and even that could not raise the ratings to the level Silbereisen is used to. According to ORF media research, Silbereisen only had 440,000 viewers in the broadcast area with the hit farewell and thus a 19 percent market share. A clear victory for Stefanie Hertel.

But Flori can still make a small profit – in the MDR broadcasting area, the youngest show master prevailed against the strong RTL competition with DSDS and the “jungle camp”. And that despite the fact that pop titan Dieter Bohlen (68) made his DSDS comeback. According to dwdl.de around 5.05 million viewers switched on the hit farewell, while DSDS cut off with an average of meager 3.05 million viewers and the “jungle camp” with around 3.96 million viewers. Jürgen Drews was able to win the duel Schlagertitan against Poptitan.
