Eight months after the end of She-HulkDisney Plus draws its new Marvel series this week. Secret Invasion will be launched on the platform on Wednesday, bringing Nick Fury, Maria Hill, Talos and James Rhodes back. Secondary characters of the MCU that we had not seen for some time and who were notably marked by the “Snap” of Thanos, at the end ofAvengers : Infinity War. “It takes place in the present of the MCU“, answers the producer Jonathan Schwarz, during a press briefing where Première was present. “It therefore essentially takes place in the continuation of the chronology of the previous series. Either post-She-Hulk, post-snap Thanos, right in the present moment of this timeline.”
So it’s been a few years since “blip” happened. That half the universe was erased by Thanos, then brought back by the Avengers. “This is my second post-snap appearance”, insists Samuel L. Jackson.? “I’ve been away for a while. Nick is a little tired, a little vulnerable, coming back to Earth… His knees hurt now. He’s not in great shape.”
His sidekick Maria Hill also struggled to regain her place in the world after the “snap”. Cobie Smulders explain that “Someone else was sitting at her desk! Beyond the espionage plot, Secret Invasion will also have an important psychological dimension, which will speak of the mental health of the missing of the “blip”, as confirmed by Samuel L.
