Of course, one of the great favorites is María Fernanda Aristizábal Urrea, a 25-year-old Colombian model who has a clear slogan: to be the next Miss Universe 2023 and fulfill one of her biggest dreams in the world of modeling and catwalks.
However, the colocha will have a very difficult time in the contest due to the high competition that has been taking place in these last editions. WHO IS MAFE ARISTIZABAL?
Born in Quindío in 1997, María Fernanda Aristizábal Urrea, better known as Mafe Aristizábal, managed to stand out in the world of modeling after being chosen in 2019 as Miss Colombia at the age of 22. However, a series of unforeseen events occurred that jeopardized her career as a brand new Colombian model.
It turns out that, at the beginning of 2020, the pandemic cut short any possibility of Mafe being able to fully internationalize, which is why it lost some media and national popularity. But that’s not all, because the lack of contracts and agreements made it impossible for the model to attend the long-awaited Miss Universe during the following years.

However, that did not end up discouraging the beautiful María Fernanda, as she managed to be named Miss Universe Colombia 2022, an announcement that would arrive on April 6 of that year and that managed to put the model back in the race towards her goal: to be the most beautiful woman in the world.
After that, the hard work, preparations, practices and others have been some of the most exhausting for the one born in Quindío, although that does not take away the dream of being able to be crowned in the most important beauty pageant on the entire planet.
In fact, she recently referred to the dreams she had as a child in an interview for a local media, showing that her fighting spirit comes from within.
