Miranda Colavito, a spokesperson for the nonprofit Planned Parenthood, noted that Florida’s “pull” is not limited to just nearby states, but also attracts people from Latin American and Caribbean countries seeking abortion services. .
The current situation has generated some confusion regarding the legislation in Florida. “Many people think the six-week ban is already in effectand we are making sure they know that they can still abort up to 15 weeks,” Colavito explained.
