The first team in the upper half of the table is Wizard. The surprise team from autumn 2022 is back with an almost identical line-up as last time. Wizard has managed to keep four of the players from last year’s playoffs. Swedish AWP player Alex “PALM1” Palm signed after the playoffs for 777, and has been replaced by Simen “sido” Rem.
Would like to be able to offer full-time
Led by captain Daniel “zykes” Jensen, the wizards will try to put the best Norwegian teams out of action despite a marginal budget. The organization has previously stated that they do not have the opportunity to pay the players, but that they want to give them the opportunity to play Counter-Strike full-time.
Gamer.no continues the countdown to Telialiga’s spring season in Counter-Strike. The first round is played on Monday 30.01, and the Wizards can be counted on this year as well.

Fun to play against good teams
Daniel “zykes” Jensen tells Gamer.no that the team has no expectations before the season, but that they hope to entertain.
– We have no expectations, but the aim is to reach the play-offs and deliver some entertaining matches. The preparations will be Faceit & personal training. We will still play without team training and hope for some good games during the season. It will probably be exactly the same as last year, only that we will replace Palm with Rem. We enter the league with zero pressure and play because it’s fun to play serious games against good teams.

Want to disprove the prediction
Jensen gives the favorite stamp before the spring season to the 777, but predicts that it will be a trio that is levels above the rest.
– It is very difficult to predict who will win, but I think the favorite to win is 777, so I imagine that Metizport and Apeks Rebels manage to get to the playoffs quite comfortably.
The Wizard captain expects Metizport to get the best out of its players and that they will make a mark on the season.
– I think that Sindre “thomassen” Thomassen and Simon “yxngstxr” Boije will learn a lot and take steps from playing together with Morten “zEVES” Christensen, Jonatan “Ruyter” Ruyter and Haris “H4RR3” Hadzic.
There is also no doubt which match on the calendar will be the highlight.
– I always thought it was fun to play against 777, it’s probably the match I look forward to playing the most.

– We just have to try our best to disprove the prediction, as we did last season, Jensen concludes.

Why are we predicting Wizard at 5th?
Wizard surprised us all during the last playoffs, and was only a few rounds away from walking away with the title itself in the finals against Apeks Rebels. The semi-final against the clear favorites from SKADE X is also a match few will soon forget. We still think that the loss of Alex “PALM1” Palm means that Wizard is somewhat weakened from last season.
The best teams should still be on guard when they face the Wizards. Daniel “zykes” Jensen has shown that he can pull many surprises out of his hat. We therefore end up with Wizard ending up in fifth place, knowing that the wizards can quickly conjure their way into the battle for the top four.
