HOUSTON – Really high temperatures were felt throughout the greater Houston area this past noon Friday.

According to the National Weather Service, there were areas south of Montgomery County that registered thermal sensations of up to 120 degrees. Similar case was registered in Galveston and Chambers counties.

In the Houston area, near Beltway 8 and I-10, the wind chill hit 114 degrees.

The high temperatures and humidity blanketing the region are expected to keep the wind chill above 110 degrees in most of the metropolitan area.

The fact is recurring during the summer months.
