On the sidelines of the IGN FanFest 2023 which unveiled the dates of the Diablo 4 Open Beta, The Astronauts has reopened an interactive window on the dark fantasy universe of Witchfire to show us in video Hunger, one of the many weapons that we will be able to equip for exorcise monsters and demonic creatures.

The developers of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter describe Hunger as a powerful hand cannon that feeds on the souls of enemies to multiply the damage done by each bullet. Using Hunger, fans of the genre will thus be able to experience gameplay that is particularly frenetic and technical at the same time, depending on the timing and precision required to load and score each critical hit.

The Witchfire hero’s arsenal, however, will range from rifles to traditional pistols to allow players to tailor the gameplay to their tastes and needs. During the adventure it will also be possible unlock spells which, used in conjunction with the weapons, will contribute to instilling further spectacularity and originality to the shooter dynamics.

The medieval dimension of Witchfire will open its doors on PC in the coming months, with the start of the phase in Early Access which promises to be full of content and free updates. In case you missed it, here is the Witchfire video from CES 2023 which confirmed support for DLSS 3 of The Astronauts fantasy shooter.
