A study by Newsworks revealed that advertising in print newspapers triples the return on investment for advertisers. The report also proves that newspaper advertising doubles the effectiveness of television campaigns and multiplies digital campaigns fourfold.

In this sense, the study specifies that including advertising in newspapers increases the ROI of a campaign in the finance sector by 5.7 times; three times in travel, 2.8 times for retail sales and 1.7 times for automotive.

This is how they found a partner in the 40s

Through a video on the social network TikTok one account shared what it was like to get a partner in the ’40s.

The story shows how people at that time bought advertising space in newspapers to advertise and share with readers their characteristics and what they look for in a person.

“25-year-old young man wants to interact with ladies from 20 to 22 years old who are of average culture and absolute seriousness,” reads the list of publications from that time.

As expected, the recording went viral to 109,000 likes, and various comments where people appreciate that the internet currently exists.

“How romantic,” another netizen wrote.

“What a nice and polite edition of Tinder,” another user wrote.

“I would like to travel back in time and respond to some young people in the magazine,” another person wrote.

In short, newspaper ads are still a great strategy to promote many things, no matter that we live in this current era where social media exists and now everything can be easier and faster to communicate.
