This Monday Alfa Illescas appeared in court accused of carrying out acts of vandalism at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, located at 5400 SW and 102nd Ave in Miami-Dade, after allegedly writing offensive messages, breaking saints and spreading garbage last Saturday, December 10. June at 10 p.m.

Miami-Dade police have arrested a woman who is believed to have vandalized a church in Southwest County early Sunday after writing several offensive words that appeared on the walls of the Catholic school.

Illescas, 44, was charged with criminal mischief at a church or place of worship.

According to the police, at almost three in the morning they received an alert about an incident, but by the time they arrived at the school they did not find those responsible for the vandalism, only words written on the walls that in Spanish mean: perverts, pigs and liars.

In key surveillance video to identify the perpetrator, a person, later identified as Illescas, is seen walking through the school and spray-painting the walls and other areas. She is also seen kicking over trash cans and breaking parts of an altar.

Those who attend the church that is in the same area as the school can only think that those responsible are “enemies of the church and enemies of God, I can’t think of anything else.”

Perverts one of the words that could be read on one of the walls of Saint Timothy Catholic School.

A neighbor of the school recounts that he heard a blow that seemed like a crash “and when I looked out, I saw a little virgin lying on the ground, in the street.”

“They think it is a grace, but in reality, it is something that will have consequences for them, for their family and for the entire community,” said one of the church attendees this Sunday.

The school – which had its last day of classes this Friday – is located at the intersection of Miller Street and 102 Avenue in the southwest of Miami-Dade County, next to a church, where dozens of people attended today. that they found out what happened.

In a statement, the Archdiocese of Miami said that “it is a tragedy that a sacred place such as a Catholic school and church property should be vandalized. It’s a hate crime.”

Apparently this is not the first time something like this has happened on the property. A neighbor confirmed that “a few months ago a lady also came and started writing on the walls, but she didn’t give it any importance back then. And now this is happening.”

In the morning, the parents of the students at the school painted the walls of the church, although they did not offer statements regarding what happened.
