Extend your holiday and work from the hotel – this is what Schauinsland-Reisen employees can do. Details of vacancies and salaries.

If the Vacation is over, the stress of everyday life is often on the agenda again. The Duisburg tour operator Schauinsland trips is now trying to prolong the holiday feeling and offers its employees the opportunity to take their laptop with them in their luggage so that they can work from their holiday destination after the holiday: home office on the beach instead of returning straight to the daily routine.

“If you book Gran Canaria for four weeks, for example, you can vacation there for two weeks and then work remotely for two more weeks,” explains Managing Director Gerald Kassner. In this way, employees can enjoy the advantages of a hotel for longer. Working is then possible in the hotel room, on the lounger by the pool or even on the beach, explains the managing director.

Working at the holiday location – Schauinsland offers employees “home offices” on the beach

“Holidays are our core business. What could be more obvious than combining work and vacation?” says Kassner. There are no restrictions on the offer and the opportunity to work at the holiday location also exists if the holiday does not last Schauinsland trips booked, informs the tourism company. The offer also applies to all employees who can carry out their activities remotely, i.e. regardless of their place of work.

The idea for “workation” came from Steffen Kassner, who is about to take over from his father as head of the company and also works in the family business. “We are always looking for ways to make jobs in our company even more attractive. So offering this modern way of working is a logical step,” explains the future boss.
