More than three years after its release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, World War Z: Aftermath continues to receive updates to delight zombie slayers. They have once again something to celebrate as a new free update will bring more enemies to the screen than ever before.

Hordes of over 1000 zombies

Starting January 24, Horde XL mode will make its debut, leveraging the capabilities of Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Indeed, this new experience will allow you to face waves of more than 1000 zombies, all with the same rules as the basic Horde.

While older generation players won’t be able to enjoy it, they can still count on the arrival of mutators in standard mode, in addition to new weapons and an improved weapon progression system.

Of course, all this will be offered free of charge, a good opportunity to discover the two new episodes of the campaign taking place in Rome and on the Kamchatka peninsula in Russia.

World War Z: Aftermath is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC. The supports are in no way a barrier since all players can cooperate thanks to crossplay.
