Pupils from the Kirchdorf middle school visited the gym in the last week before the semester break.
Lustenau The students of the 3c class of the middle school in Kirchdorf took the bus to Dornbirn one day before the distribution of certificates on Thursday morning. There they were allowed to gather their first experiences in the gym for a morning. Class teacher Lydia Gaßner (37), together with teachers Nur Önder-Cetin and teacher Daniel Sobkova, showed the students how much fun exercise can be. “They really enjoyed training on a wide variety of equipment. They even thought it was really cool,” said Lydia Gassner.
“I wanted to show my students something different after all the restrictions during the Corona period. They don’t know the gym yet and it was a good choice for the young people,” says Gassner. Exercise is important to the teacher from Upper Austria, as it offers her a good balance to the predominantly sedentary work of the students. “They learned in the gym that it’s fun to exercise together.” It wasn’t just the boys who were motivated and tested the wide range of activities in the “Good Life Sports” studio. The girls also liked the training and obviously felt good.
After a morning in the gym, it was clear to the students in the 3c class that sport really makes you happy. The students were supervised by two trainers who explained the equipment to them and showed them how to train “properly”. And so they practiced endurance training and muscle building, did cardio training and stretched their stressed muscles in a final exercise together. “I want them to realize how good exercise is. This allows you to reduce pressure and stress and at the same time create a better feeling for your body,” said Gassner. The students enjoyed the trip. And for the teachers, too, this was a very special excursion, which certainly didn’t take place for the last time. Bvs
