Racist attacks
Despite the fact that the eleven-year-old has mostly received love and support in social media, there have also been racist outbursts that have received a lot of attention among celebrities and politicians. Among others, Magdalena Andersson (S), Ebba Busch (KD) and Muharrem Demirok (C) have shown their support.
– We think this is terrible. The May flower is for all children in Sweden, says Åse Henell.
Will pay tax
The sales success has created completely new challenges for Majblomman in terms of tax issues. In addition to the collection for Mayblomman, Murhaf himself will earn a large amount of money and the national association will have a discussion with the family so that the tax payment will be correct for everyone involved.
– It is clear that you will have to pay tax on this. This is completely new for Majblomman, we have never experienced it before, says Åse Henell.
