The accusation is very serious and meant a shock to the entire family: a 30-year-old woman denounced that her underage daughter had been the victim of sexual abuse by a cousin.
According to the parent, two years ago her daughter, who is now 10, told her that when she was 5, her cousin did things to her that she did not want or understand. The details are aberrational, always based on the words of the creature’s mother.
On March 22, the mother filed the complaint with the Oberá Women’s Police Station and the assistance mechanisms for victims of sexual abuse were immediately activated.
Currently the defendant is 19 years old, but the alleged abuses would have been registered when he was 14, so the file fell to the Correctional and Juvenile Court of Oberá.
The person involved was notified and a statement of personal knowledge was received, an opportunity in which he denied having abused his cousin and assured that he was actually harassed by his aunt, mother of the alleged victim.
In addition, he supported his statements by displaying a series of messages with a sexual tone that the woman would have sent him when he was still a minor. The boy stated that he never agreed to his aunt’s proposals and that the complaint against him would be a reprisal for it.
Beyond what he said, the fact that he still has the aforementioned messages would constitute evidence in his favor and a serious complication for his aunt.
Consequently, the case for sexual abuse with carnal access against the young man would be dismissed, while Justice analyzes the situation of the woman.

At police headquarters, the mother of the minor who is currently 10 years old reported that they live in the same neighborhood as her nephew. Meanwhile, the abuses would have been recorded five years ago.
He also acknowledged that two years ago the girl told him what had happened, but at first he hesitated to accuse his nephew, who at the time of the alleged events was 14 years old.
The abuse would have occurred in the defendant’s house, where the girl used to go to play. She did not know how to specify the number of times she was subjected.
Asked why it took her two years to report the alleged facts, the mother mentioned that the fact of being relatives and what an accusation of this type implies weighed, although she finally decided to file a complaint, considering that it was the right thing to do.
But the situation took a turn when, upon being summoned by Justice, the defendant told his version of what had happened.
Not only did he deny any type of abuse to the detriment of his cousin, but he also said that when he was 14 years old he was harassed by his aunt through text messages in which he encouraged him to have sexual encounters.
To reinforce his statements, the young man took the precaution of keeping these messages and exhibited them to the authorities. He also pointed out that the woman also harassed her older brother. The boy’s statements turned into a parallel file that was submitted to the First Investigating Court for analysis, which would lead to a case against the alleged harasser.
