The suspect was arrested on Wednesday morning after what appears to be a new robbery attempt. The description provided to investigators by an employee helped identify him.

A man suspected of having already committed an armed robbery at a BP service station in Vélizy-Villacoublay (Yvelines) on January 6 was arrested on Wednesday morning, BFM Paris Île-de-France learned from a police source.

It was 6:40 am when the suspect burst in front of the door of the same establishment, armed with a knife. The service station employee having recognized him, the man chose to give up his intentions and fled.

However, the description transmitted by the employee to the police, added to the other elements of the investigation, made it possible to identify the suspect and proceed to his arrest.
