A few days before Zelda Tears of the Kingdom launches, Nintendo unveils a new feature that tackles one of BOTW’s criticisms.

Only 10 short days before the release of The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Players can’t wait to get their hands on the rest of Link’s adventures. A more passionate part of the community meanwhile is eager to find out whether or not fan theories and analysis will come to fruition. In the meantime, Big N has unveiled a novelty in this new episode ahead of its launch on May 12 on Nintendo Switch.

The improved kitchen in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom will he be able to get out of the shadow of BOTW? It seems to be off to a good start according to the first feedback from the press, which is unanimous on the experience renewed by Link’s new powers. The hero of Hyrule will this time be able to count on new skills allowing him to link several objects and weapons together to create new pieces of equipment or even means of air, naval and land transport. The possibilities already look monstrous, but they won’t be the only new features of the Nintendo Switch exclusive. Big N will indeed take advantage of this new episode to correct certain elements that had displeased the players.

The publisher revealed that Zelda Tears of the Kingdom will add a new saving option for the kitchen. A little reminder, in Breath of the Wild it was imperative to remember recipes, or at least to get them on the Internet. Not very practical and Big N obviously heard the complaints of the players. In Zelda TOTK budding cooks can count on recipe cards added in a dedicated section the first time you prepare a dish. If you want to do it again later, all you have to do is consult the notes and you’re done.

Each sheet will then include the name of the meal, its description, the necessary ingredients and the bonuses granted. As noted IGN Asia, you will still have to pick them up and throw them in the bowl. There is no automatic selection for cooking. For the moment, we don’t know more about how these recipe cards work. But at least players will be able to find your cooking achievements in a snap.
