With the freeware Zortam Mp3 Media Studio 30.70 you can organize your music collection by editing ID3 tags, finding duplicate songs and copying music CDs in MP3 format to the hard drive.
ID3 editor and CD ripper
The Zortam Mp3 Media Studio combines a whole range of useful tools for handling MP3 files under a uniform interface, but unfortunately not all of them are available in the free version. However, the free version also offers the option of editing ID3 tags on music files and finding duplicate titles in your own library.
Also on board is an easy-to-use CD ripper, with which you can convert your purchased music CDs and radio plays into space-saving MP3 format and thus prepare them for playback from devices without an optical drive, such as smartphones or tablets. The appropriate cover motifs and song texts can be downloaded from the Internet and written into the newly created files.
On the developer side you can purchase a so-called professional version with an extended range of functions for the current price of 19.95 US dollars. Among other things, this can also be used to automatically tag MP3s and correct incorrect tags. It is also possible to normalize one or more selected titles. With the version offered here for download, the additional functions of the Pro Edition can be tested free of charge for a limited period of time.
Limited free version
All in all, the Zortam Mp3 Media Studio offers many useful functions for sorting larger MP3 collections, but unfortunately the scope of the free edition is very limited. MediaMonkey, for example, offers significantly more free functions.
