Danny Ocean releases his album Reflexa

MEXICO CITY.- Danny Ocean has unleashed a favorable stage for the night with its album Reflex in which electronic music is the basis of its themes. Ocean put his songs to the test at a club performance. Mexico City on Thursday night and the public reaction was dancing, shouting and many cell phones capturing the moment.

“We have made a U-turn around the world, we went to Madrid, we went down through South America and we went up again,” said the Venezuelan singer-songwriter about these parties listening to his album in an interview by video call prior to his show in Mexico.

Reflex For Ocean, it is a: “combination of an electronic mood with an internal spiritual journey.” She helped him channel his feelings. About the album

At the Latin American Music Awards recently held in Las Vegas, Ocean presented live Zero conditionsa song against impositions that in one verse says: “he who wants to come out, then let him come out of the closet.”

“It invites people to be who they want to be and be free,” he said. “I think I wrote it thinking a lot about how she felt living in Caracas many years ago and that whole environment.”

About coming out, he said that the song is not limited to just publicly revealing a sexual orientation.

“It is a very Venezuelan expression, for us coming out does not necessarily have to be something about gender, it is also like a saying that if you want to do something you have to do it for yourself,” he said. “If you want to do something in your life you have to go out and do it, you have to learn to face those fears and go out because no one is going to do it for you.”

Ocean is about to embark on an extensive tour of Mexico with dates in Guadalajara, Puebla, Mérida, Cancún, among other cities, as well as two nights at the Palacio de los Deportes in the capital.

“We are going to sing almost all the songs of Reflect, We started on May 10,” he said. “I’m very happy, I live in Mexico and I love Mexico. It has a magic that embraces artists, not just artists, but people who come from abroad.”

Then traveling for concerts in Australia, New Zealand.

Reflex It is also a fairly cosmopolitan album, some songs like The night They were produced in London.

“I think it’s more of the musical experience, I wanted people when they heard it to feel like that magical part of meeting a stranger in the night and having chemistry,” he said of that song.

The songs

With the release of the album on Thursday, the video for Yes No No, a theme: “for these people who tell you yes and then tell you no.” The video with a robot partying until dawn was filmed in Madrid. In that song he says that “I play Taurus and you play Leo.” Another topic is titled Taurus and PiscesOcean is a Taurus, born on May 5th.

“I think that nowadays in flirting, when you are getting to know someone, that topic always comes up. What sign are you and if you are compatible,” he said. “I wanted to use that to my advantage and actually make a song.”

In Ferrari, a ballad that he plays accompanied only by piano, and Get involvedits narrator experiences some sadness.

“Ferrari It’s the story of Aladán, it’s the boy who doesn’t have an economic possibility and is in love with this girl and she is dating someone who does have money,” he said. “Getting involved is like the word says, we shouldn’t have gotten involved, honestly.”

This year marks seven years since the launch of Me rehso, the song with which Ocean became known throughout Latin America and which is still being sung at parties and clubs. Ocean said that he doesn’t really like listening to it, because it is his own voice.

“Every time they play it it can be a little uncomfortable at first, but then there is always that thought of saying ‘this is the song why you are where you are,'” he said. “For ‘Me rehso’ I have nothing but gratitude, it was the song that changed my life.”
