Bam Adebayo had 24 points for Miami, which was without star Jimmy Butler for the second straight game due to a right knee injury during the play-in round. Terry Rozier was also ruled out with a neck injury. Delon Wright added 17 points, Mexican Jaime Jacquez Jr. finished with 16.
Game 2 of the series will be Wednesday in Boston.
