When it comes to ride-hailing apps, it is common for users to think first of famous platforms such as Uber, 99 and InDrive. In smaller cities, however, the apps considered “Uber from the interior” are seen as good alternatives, and the Canaltech list 10 options for you.
1. Urban North
With five years of operation, Urbano Norte is present in more than 150 cities in the states of Amazonas, Ceará, Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Pará, Pernambuco, Rondônia, Roraima, Santa Catarina and Tocantins.
In addition, the app allows the user to follow the race. It is also possible to call Urbano Norte directly if there is a problem with the ride. Another very interesting differential is that it shows if the drivers nearby are free or busy.
2. Ubiz Car
Considered the “Uber of small towns”, Ubiz Car started in Parnaíba (PI) and is present in 44 cities in the interior, most of them in Minas Gerais. The app offers different car options to choose from — from conventional to the most luxurious — and allows users to choose a driver of their choice.
Another differential of Ubiz Car is that all cars are stickered with the service’s logo and employees are uniformed. It is also possible to contact the company through a hotline.
3. Driver 46
Founded in Paraná, Chofer46 is present in cities in the state itself, such as Cascavel, Foz do Iguaçu, Palmas, Pato Branco, Curitiba and Francisco Beltrão — where it is headquartered. The application is also available in locations in Santa Catarina, such as Joinville and Chapecó.
Similar to other mobility apps, the service allows tracking the location of drivers in real time and choosing different types of car categories. In addition, Chofer46 also travels long distances and delivers groceries to the door.
4. Bora94
Bora94 was founded by former drivers of competing platforms in Marabá (PA) and is available in more than 20 cities in Brazil, including Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and municipalities in Pará itself.
The service has the main functions of other similar apps and stands out, according to the company, for providing higher commission rates for its drivers and cheaper rides for passengers.
5. Drive Tour Brasil
Headquartered in Caruaru (PE), Drive Tour Brasil serves cities in the Northeast of the country and stood out nationally in 2021 for having taken vaccines to the homes of people who could not travel to health units during the acute phase of the pandemic — which earned the service the Voices of Mobility award.
The ridesharing application allows you to select travel preferences and also has a vehicle monitoring system, which aims to ensure more safety for both passengers and drivers.
6. Bibi Mob
Bibi Mob has already arrived in more than 80 cities in Brazil, 20 of which are run by franchisors, such as businessmen, politicians and even city halls. The municipality of Araraquara (SP) is part of this group that contracted the service for the city.
Another advantage of the application encompasses the various categories it offers in addition to races, such as deliveries, motorcycle taxis and an exclusive category for women.
7. MeSearch
One of the newest apps on the list, MeBusca was officially launched in March 2023 in partnership with the Association of Motoboys and Application Drivers of São Paulo (Ammasp). Both companies aim to offer flat rates and higher compensation to drivers who want an alternative to the main ride-sharing platforms.
In addition to São Paulo, the service is also present in cities in Minas Gerais, such as Pará de Minas and Nova Serrana. In terms of functionality, MeBusca stands out for offering 24-hour travel records, shopping and delivery and motorcycle taxi categories, among others.
8. Broken Pop
Rota Pop is the “Uber of the interior” in the region of Patos de Minas (MG). According to the service itself, it was launched in 2020 based on user opinion polls.
The application features an option to add stops and save credits to use on future trips, in addition to having a panic button and requesting a ride for people other than the requester.

The app offers previously scheduled trips and also has 24-hour availability to request rides, in addition to other basic functions of similar ride-sharing apps.
