The Third Sentencing Court of San Salvador sentenced teacher Guillermo O. to 12 years in prison for sending photographs with sexual content to a former student, reported the press office of the Isidro Menéndez Judicial Center.

Guillermo O. received the sentence after being found guilty of the crime of corruption of children, adolescents and people with disabilities through the use of information and communication technologies, contemplated in the Special Law against Computer and Related Crimes.

The mother of Guillermo O.’s former student found out that her son was having erotic conversations on a social network with the teacher and that he was sending him sexual photographs. The mother asked her son who was the person with whom she maintained this intimate communication and the minor told her that he was a teacher who taught her in 2015 and that she had contacted him through social networks.

The woman then discovered all the conversations that Guillermo O. had with his son to try to persuade him to meet in person, for which he filed a complaint with the authorities in November 2019.
