On the eve of the Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac) that will take place this Tuesday in Buenos Aires, Mauricio Macri published a letter on networks called “Shame and hope”. There, the former president questions the national government, which he described as “the worst in the history of democracy in our country”, for receiving the presidents of Venezuela and Cuba at the next Celac summit.
And Santiago Cafiero answered him like this: “It is shameful to have condemned the country to return to the IMF after receiving it out of debt. Argentina pays for your ineffectiveness. CELAC is a sovereign and broad forum. Multilateralism implies debating without exclusions and without denying the differences to improve the links between peoples”. .
In his letter, Macri predicted that this year “this government will end” and stated: “The vast majority of Argentines feel ashamed that our country is associated with others where there is persecution, torture, drug-terrorism, political prisoners and fraudulent elections that mock of democracy”.
