The substitute mayor of Guadalupe y Calvo, Refugio López Valenzuela, who also worked as director of Rural Development, was shot to death in the Gómez Morin neighborhood in the city of Parral.
The events were recorded this Saturday afternoon when the approximately 50-year-old official was shot.
The homicide occurred on Arte y Cultura street in the aforementioned neighborhood, when several armed subjects surprised the man and shot him.
The body was found in the cabin of a truck loaded with groceries.
It is worth mentioning that the official’s sister died and was executed in 2015 here in the capital, when she was serving as PAN councilor for Guadalupe y Calvo.
