The 1Password team answers back with some news about which users of the password manager will soon be able to use version 8. It is also mentioned that there should be a lot, especially for iPhone users. Fields and sections can now be rearranged within entries, just hold down the relevant element and move it in the arrangement.
Also, 1Password version 8 plans to bring back the ability to perform a single-item search in any list.
As a new unlock option, the option is also added, which allows you to unlock your app with a device PIN code. The password option and those with biometric data are of course retained.
It is also promised that unlocking with Face ID will work even better in the future and that people with visual impairments will soon be able to work even better with the VoiceOver option.
Accordingly, there was now and then the problem that the service got stuck in some text fields – this should now be fixed. If you make a mistake using VoiceOver, you can use the arrow keys to find the correct spot. The entire text will then be selected and read out, but you may also select a specific part of the text with Shift+arrow keys.
The process of setting up 1Password on the web is also simplified, and business users can optionally deactivate the so-called emergency kit. You can also expect the following new features:

- Easier instructions for setting up autofill on an iPhone or Android device.
- More ways to customize the home screen of 1Password 8 for iOS and Android.
- The ability to instantly open a saved address in your favorite map app.
- The ability to import passwords from 1Password 8 for iOS and Android.
- The ability to specify that an element should only be filled in on the exact domain you have chosen. (e.g. a password for rick.greatmemes.com will not autofill on phil.greatmemes.com)
- A beautiful app catalog that suggests items to add to your vault.
- Accessibility improvements in 1Password 8 for iOS and Android.
