Dirndl and lederhosen at the Leiblachtaler Schalmeien
On Saturday, January 21st, 2023, the Leibachtaler Schalmeien invited to their second, but unfortunately also last, motto party of this carnival in their “Höll”. The boys came in casual lederhosen, the girls and women in smart dirndls. After the slumber party, DJ HONZZ and DJ Minimi rocked the Schalmeien clubhouse that evening as well. Furthermore, musical guests were welcomed again at the traditional costume party, which is now widely known. The Schalmeienzug from Höchst and the Kehlegger Schalmeien attended the event and heated up the audience with their special instruments. The reigning royal couple from Leiblachtal, Princess Simone and Prince Hubert, and their fluffy entourage, accompanied by the Hörbranz robber barons, were among the visitors. Furthermore, representatives of friendly carnival guilds, members of the Leiblacher Fetzahexa as well as people wearing traditional costumes and carnival enthusiasts from near and far were to be found. That evening, the Hörbranz carnival regents officially presented their prince’s order to “Hell”, which was also personally attached to the designated place by Princess Simone. Thus, all the princely orders of the Leiblachtal princely couples are duly preserved in “Hell”. The representatives of the Höchster Schalmeienzug and the Kehlegger Schalmeien were also awarded the coveted badge of this year’s carnival. Numerous guests did not want to miss the second theme party of the Leiblachtaler Schalmeien, in order to be perfectly attuned to carnival once again. Now the royal couple and their entourage, the Hörbranz robber barons and the shawms, the musical accompanists of the large carnival guild, begin their ball visits in Leiblachtal. On the next few weekends, the prince couple show will be on show and the Leiblachtal shawms will be heard, after which the high carnival will start together.
