1 – Market Payment

To pay a bill using your credit card in Mercado Pago, just select the “Accounts and Services” button, located in the “Pay” section. This option is on the app’s home page, along with the “Pix Area” and to find it, tap “See more”. It is important to remember that the moment the payment is made with the card, the IOF (Financial Operations Tax) will be charged, so consider this when choosing this type of operation.

2 – Nubank

In the case of Nubank, there is also no difficulty in paying a bank slip using a credit card. To do so, you just need to access the app and select the “Pay” button on the home screen, which is located just below “Account”. Once this is done, tap on the “Pagar boleto” option so that the cell phone camera turns on and scans the barcode of the boleto.

After correctly detecting the payment slip code, Nubank customers only need to select the “Choose payment method” option and tap “Credit card”. After that, you will only need to choose the number of installments, review the payment information and select the “Pay” button.

It is important to bear in mind that when paying a bill using your credit card you:

  • You cannot use the card to pay your own card invoice bill.
  • You will have to pay the IOF (Tax on Financial Operations) for each payment made with your credit card.
  • The amount of the paid slip will be charged on the next credit card bill.
