The girls’ handball team of BG Lustenau achieved an excellent 4th place at the federal championship from April 25th to 27th, 2023 in Bregenz.
After a very strong state championship in the spring, the girls’ handball team of BG Lustenau was allowed to represent Vorarlberg at this year’s national championships from April 25th to 27th in Bregenz.
In three very intense days, the girls showed incredibly strong performances. The preliminary round was mastered with two victories, in the main round the team qualified for the semi-finals thanks to a tough and victorious fight against the girls from Tyrol. In a tight game at eye level against the team from Vienna, the girls from BG Lustenau had to admit defeat by 13:15. It should be mentioned here that the girls from Vienna were able to achieve first place and thus became federal champions. In the following game for third place against the team from Graz, the women from Vorarlberg had to admit defeat and finally took the excellent 4th place.
