Western audiences discover the film via the Netflix streaming platform. The plot follows young Dong Yilong, who tries to bring honor to his village by participating in a tournament that pits the best warriors in the kingdom against each other. The title is an adaptation of the RPG Zhengtu Online developed by Giant Network. Launched in 2006, the game is a triumph in China.
green snake
Considered the sequel to the animated feature White Snake, director Huáng Jiā-Kāng this time offers his own take on the Chinese legend of the White Snake with green snake. The story centers around the character of Verta, who must find a way to escape Shura City in an attempt to rescue her sister Blanca. An opus that deviates considerably from the plot of the first film, but which remains nevertheless full of influences and details from Chinese culture. We highlight in particular the quality of animation proposed by the Light Chaser studio, which sets the bar very high in this “urban” tale.
Ip-Man 3
Hong Kong cinema has contributed a lot to the action film genre. If it was democratized in the 80s and 90s, some films wanted to perpetuate this tradition. Released in 2015, Ip-Man 3 is a film mixing fiction and biopic that tells the story of Yip Man. New Gods: Nezha Reborn
New Gods: Nezha Reborn is an animated feature film directed by Zhao Ji. Based on the character of Nezha from the Ming Dynasty novel Investiture of the Gods, the story takes place 3000 years after NeZha’s triumph over the Dragon King. NeZha is reincarnated here as Li Yunxiang, an ordinary young man, delivery man, and car racing enthusiast. The Yin Yang Master is a film adapted from a Chinese video game, itself inspired by a book, named Onmyōji. This film was released in Chinese theaters on February 12, 2021 to celebrate the New Year. Having acquired the international rights quickly, Netflix releases the film worldwide about a month later. Directed by Li Weiran and written by screenwriter Even Jian, it takes place in a fantastic world linking humans and demons and inspired by feudal Asia. The feature film presents a half-human, half-demon officer who will be caught in the middle of a terrible war between the two species. The novel is originally Japanese and evokes officers, Onmyōji, who exercised in feudal Japan.

Directed by Leste Chen, Upcoming Summer is a breath of fresh air! Between romance and modernity, we follow the story of two young high school students who try to face the difficulties of life while getting closer to adulthood. The film deals with many themes, in particular that of lies and family relationships. The love story takes second place here and offers its characters an authentic relationship.
