A young man who was a fugitive from the Justice of Brazil after being sentenced to 33 years in prison for raping four minors was captured in the last hours in the heart of Mar del Plata.

Marcos Vitor Aguiar Dantas Pereira, alias “the Predator”, was walking near the “Los Gallegos” shopping mall when he was intercepted by agents of the Argentine Federal Police (PFA) based on information leaked by Interpol in Brazil.

The Brazilian serial rapist of minors was housed in the Mar del Plata Federal Operational Unit, awaiting his extradition to respond to the head of Criminal Court No. 5 of the town of Teresina Piaui.

The abuses for which “the Predator” was convicted
Pereira had been a fugitive since October 7 of last year, when he was placed in pretrial detention. A few weeks later, in the first days of November, Judge Raimundo Holland Moura Queiroz sentenced him to 33 years in prison.

The penalty is made up of 23 years and 4 months for the rape of a sister and another 10 years, 4 months and 7 days for the rape of his cousin. The other two accusations could not end in conviction since the Justice understood that there was not enough evidence.

In all cases investigated, the victims belonged to Pereira’s family environment. One of them was his cousin, whom he abused when he was between 5 and 10 years old. Another was her own sister, who denounced that she had raped her when she was 9.

The complaints were filed at the Police Station for the Protection of Children and Adolescents in the city of Teresina Piaui.
