A car explodes on the US-Canada border

A car exploded this Wednesday in the Rainbow Bridge border crossing between the US and Canadanear New York, in which It appears to be an attempted terrorist attack.several sources confirmed to local press media.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reported that it opened an investigation into the incident and the borders with Canada were closed, after the supposedly “deliberate” explosion of a vehicle with two people on board in the crossing area near the Falls of the Niagara, Western New York.

A senior US official confirmed to CBS News that the car was traveling from Canada at high speed and hit a pylon at the bridge crossing.

After the crash, an explosion occurred that caused the death of the two people who were traveling in the car, the FBI said on Twitter.

Another source told the network Fox News which is considered a deliberate action because there were explosives in the car and the driver intentionally crashed into the pile.

The two people on board died and a 27-year-old border agent was injured and was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, including back pain and non-life-threatening cuts.

The source explained that the vehicle tried to crash into the border officer’s building.

At the moment all bridges are closed in the area and all government buildings have been evacuated, the media outlet reported.
