A day without taxi drivers in Quintana Roo, still stands

After the recent blockades carried out by the operators of the Andrés Quintana Roo Taxi Drivers Union in the hotel zone cancunAs part of the protests against the operation of the Uber platform, as well as the attacks on tourists and more users, the public remains firm against the movement “A day without taxi drivers in Quintana Roo”.

This movement arises through social networks by the citizens themselves, who have called for a day on next friday january 27so as not to use taxis in the city of cancun and in some other municipalities in the state, after the attacks spread over the past weekend.

Likewise, drivers have been asked to have a vehicle, to give family members, neighbors, friends or acquaintances a ride that so requires during this day and thus cause a total stop to the taxi drivers union.

“Enough of their abuses, if they want us to take a taxi, improve your service, train your drivers, do not abuse the rate, and always take care of the ticket, if not uber it will always be the best option”, reads one of the comments on the call.

The campaign on social networks has gained strength and has been joined by national and international digital communication media, since there is widespread discomfort and rejection of the aggressive attitudes of taxi drivers.
