Misiones Police officers arrested a man accused of setting fire to his home with his wife and children who were inside the property in the Sol de Misiones neighborhood of the city of Posadas.
The main defendant, Ramón B., 32, was arrested by police this morning when he tried to get to the hospitalDr. Ramón Madariaga where his family is hospitalized.
The incident became known after 11 p.m. yesterday, Thursday, when members of the 20th Police Station were alerted that a house was on fire and that a 26-year-old woman and her 7- and 9-year-old children had escaped from the flames, but had various injuries due to Burns.
Immediately, police personnel together with the Firefighters extinguished the flames that had already consumed the wooden house. In an adjoining house, there were the mother and her two children, who were immediately transferred to the Ramón Madariaga hospital, where they all remain hospitalized, while the child under 7 is in serious condition.
The investigators collected testimonies from residents of the area, who indicated that the person involved would have had an argument with his concubine and that moments later the igneous focus would have started in his own home, fleeing the scene.
For this reason, the offices of Regional Units I and X carried out a joint search and capture operation, focusing on the cities of Posadas and Garupá. In this way, around 7:00 a.m., a patrol from the Radioelectric Command identified him and detained him at the intersection of López Torres avenue and Ambrosetti street.
The detainee, by order of the Investigating Judge No. 2 of Posadas, due to the fact that he presented injuries from the flames, was hospitalized with the corresponding police custody. On the other hand, scientific police and fire experts continue with the skills at the scene in order to gather evidence of interest to the cause.
