A Turkish citizen filmed while destroying several items of street furniture with a hair in a park in the town of Dobroesti in Ilfov was detained for 24 hours, and the prosecutors will decide whether to propose other preventive measures. He is being investigated for crimes of threat, destruction and disturbance of public order and peace.

The representatives of the Ilfov County Police Inspectorate announce, on Saturday afternoon, that the man filmed while destroying benches in a park in Dobroesti has been detained, writes News.ro.

“Following the administrative approval, the Pantelimon city police ordered the 43-year-old man to be detained for 24 hours, after which he will be presented to the case prosecutor, from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Cornetu Court. The investigations are continued within the criminal file, under the aspect of committing the crimes of threat, destruction and disturbance of public order and tranquility, the criminal prosecution being carried out under the supervision of the case prosecutor, within the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Cornetu Court”, announces IPJ Ilfov.

The incident was reported to the Police on Friday evening, around 19:36. On the images posted on social networks, several women can be seen arguing, apparently due to the fact that several children would have made a noise. The person who posted the images on Facebook also posted the message: “A gentleman disturbed by children in the park because they are making noise.”

IPJ Ilfov announced that he was notified about the incident.

“On September 22, around 7:36 p.m., the Ilfov County Police Inspectorate was notified by call 112, regarding the fact that the appellant was threatened with a knife by a man, who also destroyed 2 wooden benches, installed in a residential complex, in the town of Dobroeşti. The policemen of the city of Pantelimon went to the scene, where they identified the man suspected of committing the acts, namely a Turkish citizen, aged 43”, IPJ Ilfov reported on Friday.
