Hombre mata a su exesposa y tres personas resultan heridas en un tiroteo en un apartamento de Las Vegas

A woman was shot to death by her ex-husband, according to police, and three other people were injured Thursday afternoon inside a West Las Vegas apartment.

Officers responded around 2:40 p.m. to the Destinations Spring Valley apartment complex, 3925 S. Jones Blvd., near West Flamingo Road, after reporting a shooting, according to Lt. Jason Johansson of the Metropolitan Police Department.

A woman in her 30s and two other people were taken to University Medical Center after being found with gunshot wounds. The woman later died at the hospital. Police believe the woman’s ex-husband came to her apartment and began shooting at the woman and her family members inside, Johansson said.

A man in his 30s and a woman in her 40s were the other two people shot, but their injuries were not life-threatening.

Johansson said the two children of the slain woman were in the apartment when the shooting occurred. The two-year-old was uninjured and the 14-year-old suffered lacerations to his hand.

After the shooting, the ex-husband left the place in a white van. Johansson said the man drove to Las Vegas police headquarters, where he was taken into custody Thursday afternoon.
