A man was found dead and burned in the early hours of yesterday in the town of Garupá. Until the closing of this edition, members of the Misiones Police were seeking to determine his identity and the causes of his death.

As El Territorio was able to find out based on different sources, the main hypothesis is that it is a person reported missing since the beginning of the month, although formal comparisons and recognition are awaited to confirm it.

What was reconstructed is that the incident was discovered around 8:30 a.m. on a dirt street parallel to the train tracks in the Villalonga Norte neighborhood of the town. The scene is about 500 meters from the entrance roundabout to the south access.

At the scene were members of the Fifth Police Station and authorities from the Court and the Sixth Investigation Prosecutor’s Office of Posadas.

The person was lying on a dry ditch next to a stone rock. Through that first inspection, no visible signs of physical aggression were detected and the fire had reached him superficially.

In the place there was a kind of camp, so the people who were at the site assume that the victim could have died naturally and that the fire reached him after that.

However, the flames caused part of his skin to contract, so it is not known if he has cuts or a similar injury. For all this, Judge Ricardo Balor ordered that the body be sent to the Judicial Morgue for the corresponding autopsy. This will shed light on the causes of death and also a record can be made for recognition.
