Game news A stealth game monument free on the Epic Games Store this December 29, and another bonus gift

Since December 15, Epic Games has taken on the role of Santa Claus to begin a tour consisting of taking up the principle of an Advent calendar to offer one free game per day. After playing the extensions, the tour ends today with the distribution of two last games: an infiltration reference and a bonus title that no one saw coming.

Two games instead of one to finish in style

Because all good things must come to an end, Epic Games has just unveiled the mystery behind the last small window of the Advent calendar. And it’s not one, but two free games that are on the day’s program after the Souls-like offered yesterday and which was none other than Mortal Shell. Today, players with an account on the digital store (all for free by the way) can get their hands on Dishonored: Definitive Edition and Eximius: Seize the Frontline.

The first, Dishonored Definitive Edition, comes as a first-person, stealth-tinged action game that puts you in the shoes of an assassin named Corvo. Hungry for revenge, you have a varied arsenal with supernatural powers but also weapons and gadgets to overcome your targets. Released in August 2015, it is a remastered version of the initial game released 3 years earlier, which not only brings a slight graphical improvement but also includes all additional content in addition to the base game. A good opportunity to discover or rediscover a particularly immersive experience through a rich universe and an inspired artistic direction. In short, an excellent game, acclaimed by players but also by the press, as evidenced by the very nice score of 19/20 in our columns.

Less known to players, Eximius: Seize the Frontline is halfway between a first-person shooter (aka an FPS) and real-time strategy. A daring mix of genres that gives a multiplayer experience focused on fierce battles in teams of 5 players: a commander accompanied by 4 officers. Embodying the commander will guide gameplay based on real-time strategy while officers can let off steam on the principle of an FPS. Note that on Steam, the game is the subject of 76% positive evaluations, enough to be tempted…

An advent calendar with video games

It’s a tradition that the Epic Games Store has been carrying on for a few years. In the wake of the free games that the store offers throughout the year, the holiday season is the peak of this initiative. From December 15 to December 29 inclusive, the platform provides one game to download per day. It is therefore today Dishonored Definitive Edition and of Eximius: Sixteen the Frontline and this until another takes his place, that is to say next week from 5:00 p.m. Thus ends this Advent calendar, no more clues or mystery games since it will be Kerbal Space Program and Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun – Aiko’s Choice.

While some may seem skeptical to see so much generosity through this gesture, arguing that the titles offered are far from the quality of some blockbusters, it should be noted that excellent games have been offered in the past. This is particularly the case for the game Preytitle developed by Arkane Austin studio (currently in development of red fall for Microsoft) but also games control. Either way, it’s the perfect option for gamers looking for new games without breaking the bank as the holidays approach.

Prey and Control.
