Os aficionados of observing the night sky managed to admire during the night of this Thursday, the 4th, a very particular phenomenon. This is not about the passage of asteroids, an eclipse or even a special moon, but the passage of Starlink satellites from SpaceX.

The passage of these satellites ended up being admired by the most attentive observers, who took pictures and sent them to the Meteo page Trás os Montes – Portugal on Facebook, who shared them for everyone to see. You can admire them in the gallery above.

Described as “a train of lights in the sky”, the ‘phenomenon’ may seem strange but it is relatively easy to explain. The satellites appear aligned after being ‘released’ by the rocket launched by SpaceX, with the movement indicating that they are heading towards the designated positions in order to be able to form the necessary network to bring high-speed Internet to the most remote from the planet.
