Find out about all potential Windows update problems via email: Microsoft is now offering a new service for administrators that allows them to better plan for upgrades and updates. Specifically, system administrators can log in to the automatically sent messages in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, provided they have the correct rights to access Windows Release Health.

In addition to new problems, the information contained in the e-mails also includes changes to the status of existing errors – for example, if Microsoft has successfully corrected them or published a workaround. When subscribing to the service, administrators can select the Windows variant and update version and have the e-mails sent to up to two addresses, for example to keep a colleague informed. All these options can also be changed later.

If a problem affects several versions of the operating system, Microsoft only sends an e-mail – so constant incoming messages about all the different Windows variants in use will not flood the inbox. In principle, this is the same information that the Microsoft 365 admin center already lists. The only new thing is that those responsible do not have to check it manually. Details on how exactly the service can be activated can be found im Tech-Community-Blog.
