A strong explosion registered in the center of Milan left at least four injured, Italian media reported Thursday.
The explosion occurred in the central area of roman door around 11:30 local time.
According to the first testimonies, the explosion occurred in a van that was transporting oxygen tanks it was probably going to be delivered to a neighboring medical center.
according to the newspaper Corriere della Serasome passers-by saw one of the tanks catch fire, followed by a very violent explosion.
At the moment there is at least four injured. The driver of the van managed to save himself by jumping out of the vehicle when he noticed the fire. He only suffered a hand injury.
The fire also affected four cars parked on the streetto one nearby pharmacy already floors from a neighboring building.
Ambulances and firefighters rushed to the scene. A day care center and a building in the area were also evacuated.
