After his triumph in “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (DSDS), Sem Eisinger faced a bitter chart battle with second-placed Monika Gajek. Now it is clear: the singer had to admit defeat.

Baden-Baden – It was only about two weeks ago that Sem Eisinger (29) won the 20th season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (DSDS). Now comes the first setback: His winning song “Don’t Let Me Go” disappeared from the charts after just one week.

At first, Eisinger’s song was “only” at number 57 on April 21 in the German single charts got in – 21 places worse than “Deep End” by second-placed Monika Gajek (21). In the following week, both were no longer in the top 100 – a bitter record for the DSDS winner.

DSDS winner Eisinger also had to admit defeat in the charts of his competitor in neighboring Austria – here he is in 47th place but still in the top 50. Gajek started in 25th place. In the Swiss charts, the pop singer came in at number 35 and Gajek at number 51, but here too it was over after a week.

DSDS winner dedicated Song to his father
