After Rasmus Paludan, anti-Islam and anti-immigration activist, Swedish-Danish extremist burned a copy of the Koran while demonstrating outside the Turkish embassy in Stockholm, a new Islamophobic and provocative gesture according to many Muslims, was committed by the leader of the Dutch branch of the far-right anti-Islam group Pegida, Edwin Wagensveld.

Edwin Wagensvelda continued to tear up the Koran, throwing pages to the ground before saying: “After eating a good bite and having a drink with our group, it is now time to burn the remains of the Koran. »
Moreover, the video in question then shows the Koran and its torn pages burning in a fire in a pan on the ground.
“People who know us and follow us know that we never give up, we are not intimidated by violence and death threats,” says the head of the Dutch branch of the far-right anti-Islam group Pegida.
