With the latest episode, Ahsoka has definitely struck a chord with Star Wars fans. Image source: Disney/Lucasfilm

The fifth episode of Ahsoka left many open mouths – and for all sorts of reasons: Hayden Christensen returned as Anakin Skywalker, scenes from The Clone Wars were shown in a live-action film for the first time and ultimately the latest episode has plenty of fan service offer.

For one or two members of the Star Wars community it is even clear: Ahsoka has the best scene in all of Star Wars – or at least one of them.

Lots of service for fans

What exactly is it about? To do this we have to go back a little bit. In episode 5 of Ahsoka, the title heroine (Rosario Dawson) ends up in the so-called world between worlds after a defeat against Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson). There she meets her long-dead master Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen), who has a final lesson for his former padawan.

And it’s obviously playing with Anakin Skywalker’s fall to the dark side of the Force and his second identity as Darth Vader. This allows for one or two shots that will drive the socks off Star Wars fans, who shower showrunner and director Dave Filoni with praise and declarations of love.

The best Star Wars shot: For example, the X (formerly Twitter) user writes with the appropriate name Vader’s Wife the moment that switches between Vader’s pre- and post-Mustafar look for just a few seconds as “probably the best scene I’ve ever seen in Star Wars.” With over 55,000 likes, he’s obviously not the only one who thinks so:

Or maybe this one: Samuel Furtado is in relation to a completely different but very similar shot on exactly the same steamer: Looking back at the Battle of Ryloth, we see a young Anakin Skywalker running towards the front with his lightsaber drawn and here, too, his look as Darth Vader is only for a moment displayed:

The ratings of the episode are also not without their merits

For eyes and ears: Of course, it can be debated in good conscience whether this is really the best recording in the entire Star Wars history. It can hardly be denied that both scenes have a decent viewing value, which is definitely not bad.

A proud rating average: The enthusiasm for the fifth Ahsoka episode is also reflected in the ratings: Up IMDb For example, the episode received an impressive 9.4 out of 10 points Rotten Tomatoes 89 percent and at Metacritic 8.0 points.
