With episode 5 of Ahsoka, fans of The Clone Wars get their money’s worth: Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) can be seen in his Clone Wars outfit for the first time in a live-action film, Captain Rex (Temuera Morrison) also appears and a young Ahsoka is also there with the party.
Of course, the 14-year-old heroine is not portrayed by Rosario Dawson or her voice actress Ashley Eckstein. Instead, embodied Ariana Greenblatt the young (ex-)Jedi who Marvel fans already know from a completely different film.
Where you may have already seen young Ahsoka
In Avengers: Infinity War, Ariana Greenblatt already played a hero in her childhood: in several conversations with the main villain Thanos, she is seen as young Gamora usually portrayed by Zoe Saldana. Greenblatt appeared in the second most successful of all films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe before she became part of the Star Wars universe with Ahsoka.
But even outside of Marvel and Star Wars, Ariana Greenblatt’s career seems to be going quite well: at the beginning of 2023 she played a leading role alongside Adam Driver in the sci-fi dinosaur film 65, but her greatest success to date was yet to follow : In Barbie she meets Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, which has currently grossed over $1.4 billion worldwide.

Ariana Greenblatt is just 16 years old and started her acting career early on: in 2015 she gained a foothold in the first Disney TV productions and was then seen in several series and films. Greenblatt will soon appear as Tiny Tina in the game adaptation Borderlands, which is scheduled to come sometime in 2024.
And to come back to Ahsoka: If you haven’t watched The Clone Wars yet and perhaps want to catch up now, you can of course do so on Disney Plus. The seven-season, 133-episode animated series has long been completed and deals not exclusively, but primarily with the story of Ahsoka Tano and her master Anakin Skywalker.
