The Government published this Friday through the Ministry of Security the new rate chart corresponding to the new Aviation Security Fee which will be in force for both international and domestic flights from January 12.

The official announcement was made through Resolution No. 3, with implementation date as of Thursday, January 12, the day from which passengers must pay the tax whenever they board any aircraft, whether commercial or non-commercial. both on scheduled, non-scheduled or private flights.

According to the resolution, the new tax may not exceed the amount equivalent to 0.25% of the basic salary of the hierarchical rank of Principal Officer of the General Rank of Police Personnel of the Airport Security Police (PSA), approved by Law No. 26,102 and its Regulatory Decree No. 836/08 and its amendments.

How much will the new aviation tax cost?

For international flights, the cost of the new Aviation Security Fee for each passenger boarded at airports or aerodromes belonging to the National Airport System of the Argentine Republic (SNA) will be based on a fee of $1.40.

Meanwhile, regional flights, as well as intercontinental flights, the value of the new Aviation Security Fee has a base price of USD 1.40 for each passenger boarding at SNA airports or aerodromes.

And the domestic flights, within Argentina, the amount of the Aviation Security Fee is lower and in pesos, for each domestic passenger the base value will be $260 pesos.

The Aviation Security Fee It will enter into force as of next Monday, January 9, and corresponds to the public service provided by the PSA at the airports and aerodromes that make up the SNA against acts of illegal interference.
