JESSICA NEWTON EXPLAINED WHY MILETT FIGUEROA NEVER PARTICIPATED IN MISS PERU
In mid-2020, Jessica Newton, the organizer of Miss Peru and former queen of this contest, explained the reasons why “Milechi” was not considered for this contest.
“Can Milett Figueroa still participate in Miss Peru?” One of the users asked Newton during a live on Instagram and the businesswoman stated that “Milett is more beautiful than ever, but she is past the age of competing and she is 100% committed to her career.”
However, that was not the only reason. “She wants to go directly to Miss Universe (without competing with the rest of the participants in Miss Peru). I want a queen who competes and gives Peru a year of social work,” Newton said at another time “live.”
